ALUMINUM OXIDE:
Recognized by its brownish red color.
Available in open and closed coat. Open coat resists loading due to spreading the grains apart on the backing material.
Most versatile abrasive for use on all wood sanding applications from stock removal to finish sanding.
A general purpose sanding belt and the most commonly used abrasive on the market today.
Available in grits 24 through 400. |

SILICON CARBIDE:
Black in color.
The hardest and sharpest manufactured abrasive grain.
This is the only coated abrasive that will cut through hard or brittle surfaces such as glass, marble, tile, granite, carbide or hardened finishes.
The finer grits are ideally suited for finishing on many surfaces and hardened metals.
Available in grits 24 through 600. |

ZIRCONIA ALUMINA:
Zirconia Alumina is recognized by its blue color.
A rugged synthetic abrasive that is best suited to stock removal applications.
The heavy duty structure requires heavier pressure to break down the self sharpening grains.
It is ideal for heavy grinding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals and planing hard woods.
This abrasive can last up to 5 times longer than aluminum oxide on tough applications.
Available in grits 24 through 120. |
